Pixel Sink is a free mobile game made by Adam Šlajer ("we"). This page explains what data the game collects, why, and what you can do about it. The game has no accounts and no purchases, and it never asks for your name, email address, contacts, photos or precise location.

Who is responsible

Adam Šlajer is responsible for the data our own service receives (the data controller). Contact: esh.game.studio@gmail.com.

Game statistics we receive

While Share statistics is on in Settings (it is on by default), the game sends our service:

We use this to improve the game, to understand how often and how long people play, and to see how ads pay for the game. We do not sell it, and we do not use it to find out who you are.

Like any internet service, our server sees your device's IP address when the game connects to it. We do not store it with the game statistics; our web server may keep it briefly in security logs.

Legal basis: our legitimate interest in improving a free game and paying for it. You can object at any time by turning Share statistics off: the game then stops sending statistics and deletes the ones still waiting on your device.

How long we keep it: statistics wait on your device until our service confirms it received them. We keep them for up to 13 months, then delete them.

Ads (Unity LevelPlay, Unity Ads, Google AdMob)

The game is paid for by ads: full-screen ads between levels, and optional rewarded ads you can choose to watch for something in return, such as extra moves. Unity's LevelPlay software picks which ad network shows each ad: ironSource Ads and Unity Ads (both run by Unity Technologies) or Google AdMob.

To show and measure ads and to prevent fraud, these networks' software in the game collects data such as your device's advertising ID, your IP address (from which it estimates an approximate location), information about your device and the app, and how you interact with ads. Each network handles this data under its own privacy policy: Unity and Google.

In the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland, Google's consent form asks for your choices before ads use your personal data, for example for personalized ads; the other networks follow the same answers. When the form applies to you, Privacy choices in Settings lets you change your answers at any time. You can also reset or delete your advertising ID in your phone's settings.

Google Firebase

Firebase Analytics records installs, sessions and ad revenue so we can measure our own advertising, for example which ads for the game lead to installs. It uses its own app instance ID and, where allowed, your advertising ID. It follows the Share statistics switch: turning the switch off turns Firebase Analytics off too.

Firebase Crashlytics sends a crash report when the game crashes: where the code failed, the app version, your device model and operating system, and a random Crashlytics installation ID. We use crash reports only to fix bugs, based on our legitimate interest in a game that works. Google keeps them for 90 days.

Google and Unity may process data from their ad networks and Firebase in the United States and other countries, under their own safeguards for international transfers. Learn more in the Google Privacy Policy and in how Google uses information from apps that use its services.

Location

The game does not use GPS or ask for location permission. Our service receives only the country of your SIM card. The ad networks' and Google's software estimate an approximate location, such as your city or region, from your IP address.

Your choices

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you can ask us for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, restrict or object to its use, or ask for it in a portable format. Email esh.game.studio@gmail.com; we reply within one month. Our statistics are linked only to a random installation ID, not to your name or email address, so we may ask for details that let us find your installation's records. If we cannot find them, they are still deleted after 13 months. For data held by Google or Unity, you can also use their own tools described in their privacy policies.

You can complain to the data protection authority where you live or work, or where you think a problem happened.

Children

The game is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child under 13 has used the game and we have their data, email us and we will delete it.

Changes

If we change this policy, we will update this page and the date at the top.
